In fact I would say they are better suited than the motors supplied with the majority of small machines like the X1. The stock X1 motor is 1/5 hp, drives through a noisy gear drive, and the spindle rpm is severely limited. The motor shown on my mill in the picture on the website is an E-flite Park 480 outrunner rated at about 1/3 hp.
